Definition and Interest of Organizational Backup

The idea is to use the techniques of open-source software code dissemination for an organization. Open-source software is indestructible because the source code is duplicated and easily improved since anyone can take the code and improve it. We can achieve the same qualities of indestructibility and evolvability for an organization when it is essentially based on copyable information. Since an organization contains private or secret data and assets, some additional techniques must be added.

Definition
A system that allows for the reinstallation of the organization in case of degradation of a part, such as misbehavior by key individuals, the disappearance of individuals or resources, etc.
Interest
An organization is always subject to uncertainties, whether they originate internally or externally. It is important to be able to withstand them even if they affect critical points. This is a particularly serious matter when it comes to a type of organization aimed at being the backbone of human organization.
Functions to Fulfill
Independence
The functions to fulfill in ensuring organizational backup must be as insensitive as possible to organizational uncertainties so as not to compromise recovery in case of a problem.
Decision to Relocate
The organization of a group is a kind of beneficial monopoly. For example, we would be dismayed if there were four States managing the same things in parallel. Therefore, there must be a group decision to use a backup or to split.
Divergence
People may have incompatible visions, and it is good for them to be able to create a Project B using the elements they want from Project A, as long as it does not compromise A.
Transfer of Resources
Material resources (financial, domain name ownership, access to accounts, etc.) must be distributed proportionally to the extent of the relocation. For example, if there is a split into two equal parts, divisible resources must be divided in two.
Access to Secret Data
An organization always has secret data such as passwords. Therefore, a way must be found to provide these secrets without them being always available and without assuming that the organization is functional. This may seem contradictory, but it is possible to use split passwords and trusted external actors.
Maintenance
Like a computer backup, due to unforeseen events, an organizational backup can lose functionality if not maintained.
